The purpose of this site is to provide a place for the students, faculty and staff the University of Miami to check-in with the University after a storm or other disaster event. You or someone on your behalf can supply information such as your contact information at your current location, status and needs.

If you would like to update your contact information or provide your contact information at the location where you intend to take refuge prior to a disaster, please follow the directions.

Students can update their information in CaneLink by visiting CCaneLink and clicking on the Emergency Information link at the top left of the page.

Employees can update their information in Workday by visiting Workday and following the directions in the Change Contact Information and Change Emergency Contacts tip sheets.

The most up-to-date information on an impending emergency and the University's status can be found at the University's Emergency Preparedness website (

Information is being collected to assist in broad recovery efforts and is not intended to substitute for direct communication with your family, colleagues, supervisor, or emergency organizations.
